Planting Seeds for the Future

Planting Seeds for the Future
Planting Seeds for the Future

Are you someone who makes New Year’s resolutions or sets goals at the start of the year? I’ve never been one to wait for the “right” time to begin something new. If there’s something I want to achieve, I just start. And if there’s something I no longer want in my life, I let it go.

Some people have told me this is an annoying quality—that my ability to just begin or quit something so decisively is unsettling. But to me, it feels like a superpower. When I set my mind to something, nothing can stand in my way.

That said, there’s something about spring that feels like the perfect time to set new intentions. As the earth wakes up, it’s a natural invitation to reflect: What do I want to bring to life this year? What seeds am I planting now, that I hope will grow and flourish?

It’s also a beautiful time to look back. Where was I this time last year? What has changed? What am I proud of? Day to day, it’s easy to miss our own growth, but when we zoom out, we often see just how much we’ve evolved. Think back to spring of 2024—how has your life shifted for the better? Or maybe in ways you didn’t want, but now that you’re aware, you can realign with what truly nourishes you.

Recently, I read The Let Them Theory, by Mel Robbins and it was a powerful reminder that this is the only life we get. The way we respond to what happens around us is the only thing we can truly control. It also made me reflect on just how far I’ve come.

Sometimes we need these gentle reminders to keep going in this unpredictable world. I hope you take a moment to reflect—on where you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go.

And if you really want to zoom out, think back to where you were in spring of 2020. That season became a marker in so many of our lives—pre- and post-pandemic. How have you grown since then?

However you choose to move forward, I hope this season brings you clarity, renewal, and the courage to begin.

Love,

Danielle
